Oculus DK2 Integration in 'Just Death' - Preview

Hey guys,

Below are a few preview images of the Oculus DK2 [ http://www.oculusvr.com/dk2/ ] into my game engine, using my upcoming game "Just Death" ( www.JustDeath.com ) as the example. This implementation uses SDK based distortion. I'll roll my own "client distortion" since performance is key here trying to maintain 75hz w two times the rendering load.

The lovely health and safety warning appears for 7 seconds...

Main Menu...

Driving a car in 1st person

Driving a car in 3rd person

Shooting w the Iron sights [ AWESOME using the IR based positional tracking ] ...

Little developer tool to help with input to the in-game developers console [ tweak parms, etc. ] ...

This is pretty cool! wish I had one of those to test them myself :)

"Instead of making a game you hope many people will like, it's sometimes better to create a game you know a few people will love"

''My intention is not to create something that won't be hated; it's to create something that will be passionately loved''

Thanks! Haha yea man, the

Thanks! Haha yea man, the Oculus Rift is still considered a "Dev Kit", even though they sell them to anyone, dev or not.

Still they run like $400 USD and a few months of a wait. Will probably be a few years until the first CV1 ( Samsung Gear doesn't count in this line ), so now might actually be a good time to get a DevKit2 (DK2).

If you're ever in North Carolina USA, ya can check mine out with a few games and stuff lol.
