A free to play game on steam, which you can buy for $5 to go gold, and unlock everything. This is the kind of F2P system I had in my mind, one that is F2P, not P2W, but that you have to buy the game if you want to unlock every feature it has (And not subscription based like in WOW).
But, what is Unturned? Unturned is a F2P Zombie survival sandbox voxel game made by a 16-year-old Canadian, pretty much a combination of Dayz and voxel/crafting games like minecraft.

Neato - though looks pretty rough around the edges to say the least - if he wrote the tech himself then - respect 8-)
You play this one yet ?
Seems like youtube is driving all the interest in the game ? I can't wait to start showing vids of my latest stuff hopefully the same thing will happen :-D Should be any day now that I have great videos, I'm finalizing a few things.

Voxel and zombie survival games are very successful nowadays, thus that's what you would expect from a game that combines those 2 genres. I've played it, it's not really that great, but it is really fun to play with friends, and it offers quite a unique experience.
Something to remark is that, as I said before, it is a free to play game, so everyone can join any server and play it for free, thus you make that always there is going to be somebody playing, and the community will be active. In addition you can purchase the game to unlock all the features and experiences that the F2P version doesn't offer. Micro transactions for unique camos/skins could be a nice addition too, but maybe not for this game. I thought about a similar system for Killing horizon, I think I already wrote it in the brainstorming topic so you may remember it.
